Joined the professional skateboarder & musician Tommy Guerrero and Ray Barbee as photographer for their trip to Europe (Paris France) and participated as a band member with Tommy Guerrero in Stuttgart in the skateboard museum.
Hasselblad 500CW with a Hasselblad Magazine A12 Ilford Delta ISO 3200 black/white negative. The lens was a Zeiss 4/150mm and a Leica MP 35mm with a f1.4 Summilux-M. For the music I used a Fender Telecaster and Fender Amp from 1984 Made in USA
My intention was to capture the band on tour through Paris and to catch some unique moments me jamming with Tommy Guerrero and the band in the skateboard museum in Stuttgart. The resulting pictures show some great musicians and his crew during his performance but also behind the scene.
Tommy Guerrero is an American skateboarder and musi- cian. As a teen, he was one of the prominent members of the Bones Brigade, Powell Peralta’s professional skate- boarding team that was successful during the 1980s. Af- ter riding for Powell Peralta, Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud opened up the skateboarding company “Real”. After his success in the world of skateboarding, he decided to pursue his musical interests. Rolling Stone magazine named Guerrero’s third studio album, Soul Food Taque- ria (2003) on its 2003 “best of list”.
Ray Barbee is an American skateboarder from San Jose, California. He was one of the first skateboarders to bring freestyle/flatland tricks to street. Barbee has a signa- ture shoe with Vans. His other sponsors are Element Skateboards, Independent Truck Company, and WeSC.
Barbee released in 2003 his debut EP on Galaxia records, Triumphant Procession, a collection of jazz-in- fluenced instrumental tracks.
